Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 launched
Royal Enfield finally launched the much awaited Thunderbird 500.Royal Enfield first shown the Thunderbird 500 in the 2012 Auto expo.It was a star in the Royal Enfield pavilion.There was lot of buzz around Thunderbird 500.Royal Enfield has added many modern features on the Thunderbird 500.Royal Enfield completely redesigned the seating position for the new foot peg position.So they can maintain the legendry comfort of all Royal Enfield bikes.
Royal Enfield also given vibration free handle bars.Now you can open the seats for storing things under seats.Lock mechanism for the seats are given in the side pannel.For better storage you can remove the rear seat completely.Royal Enfield has given a new design for the mirrors.Some modern features include Rear LED tail lamps and two digital trip meters in the instrument cluster.New front end now gets 41mm forks.For better night riding Royal Enfield has given 55 W halogen bulb for the high beam and 55 W projector lamps for the low beam.Another important add on the Thunderbird 500 is the hazard lamp on the switch gear.
For long touring Royal Enfield has given 20 L Fuel tank.For better braking Royal Enfield has given disc brakes in the front and rear.Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 is powered by the same engine from the Classic 500.499cc engine produces 27.2 BHP of power @ 5200 RPM and torque of 41.3 NM @ 4000 RPM.This engine is mated to 5 speed Gear box.Royal Enfield 500 is priced at RS 1,82,571 (On road Mumbai).
