Yamaha FZ 250 Coming Soon
Yamaha India is working on FZ 250.Now Yamaha doesn’t have a bike above 150 cc.Most of the competitors have more performance 250 cc bikes.Yamaha is also working on R 250 model which is the bigger cousin of Yamaha R 15.New Yamaha FZ 250 design will be inspired from other FZ series bikes.Street fighter naked bike look will be maintained.Yamaha FZ 250 will be bigger from the FZ 16.New bigger front fork and big naked head lamps will attract the youngers.
Bigger tanks with sculpted design which looks good and also improves the aerodynamic efficiency of FZ 250 also.Handle will be wider like the current FZ 16.So the rider will be more comfortable.FZ 250 instrument cluster will be inspired from the FZ 16.Fully digital speedometer,tacho meter and odometer.But Unlike the FZ 16 Yamaha will give more features into the instrument cluster like the time,range,fuel efficiency,service interval etc.
Yamaha will provide bigger front and rear tyres for the FZ 250 to get more control.Yamaha will also provide both front and rear disk brakes.Yamaha FZ 250 will get single rear suspension like the FZ 16.Also we can expect mass centralization like FZ 16 to improve the handling of FZ 250.Yamaha FZ 250 is powered by single cylinder 250 cc engine which makes 24 BHP of power and 20 NM of torque.This engine will be mated to 6 speed gear box.
Top speed of FZ 250 will be above 160 KMPH.Like the FZ 16 motor Low and mid torque will be high.In India most of the time bikes will be used in city so low end torque is very important.Yamaha provides 18 L fuel tank for FZ 250.After the launch Yamaha FZ 250 will be the segment bench mark for handling and performance.Yamaha FZ 250 will be priced around RS 1.4 Lakhs.Yamaha FZ 250 is expected at the end of 2013.
